LONDON~!
Going to London have been in my list for a long time, but I'm not manage to make it as I'm busy working and my saving is just enough for my living.
But I as I'm going to reach 30 years old a few years later, I think I must go to the London, one of the Europe country, before I step into the 30s class. Just as a reward or self-pamper perhaps.
I booked my flight ticket in Jun and went to London on end of September. The flight ticket total cost about RM 2400 for both way. Actually the price is still acceptable~~.
I reach the Heathrow Airport terminal 4, London after taking flight from KLIA, Kuala Lumpur. The flight took about 13 hours with a stop/transit in another country. I reach London airport in the morning about 6 am.
As I reach, I would say there's so many people in the arrival custom check. It's a long queue and there are so many foreign people waiting. I took about an hour long queue to wait for my turn. Lastly, I have to take my luggage that I check in.I think I took me total about 2 hours to complete clear off everything in the Heathrow airport. I would say, the security is good as they really check the luggages precisely.
I left and I directly took an underground tube to High Barnet. Not to worry as there's signboard to show, where you can take the underground subway. It's a distance walk within the airport. If you have difficulties to understand the signboard, you may ask the blue shirt officer. As you reach the underground tube area, you have to proceed to purchase an oyster card which is use for topup money to take the tube. There's machine to buy the oyster card. But because I have only big note cash, I was unable to use the oyster card machine to purchase oyster card. Well, you don;t have to be worry as there's a convenience shop on the left, nearby the oyster card machine. The convenience shop sell drinks and snack, and you could purchase the Oyster card in that convenience shop too, I would recommend to put in 15 British Pound. Actually there's capped price per day which is 10 pounds per day when you use the tube. So, not to worry if you have to travel far, and you are visiting many places, as long as you are using the tube, it will only cost maximum per day as 10 pound. Off course if you only cost you for one way ride if the fare you use is less than 10 pound. For weekdays, the capped priced is lower which can be 8.50 pound per day. I would say by using the Oyster card, you can save a lot on transportation as you reach most of the tourist spot destination using underground tube. All the underground map you could simply take it at the underground tube station.
For the tourist spot destination, I would introduce you to the Westminister station. It's a station where you could see the Big Ben , The iconic red telephone booth, Westminister Abbey, ( it just located outside of the station Westminister.) , and if you can walk further just about five minutes from the Westminister station, you will found the famous Cola-Cola London Eye, it indeed a breathtaking view. For the London tower, you might need to go about 10 minutes walk, and you will found it as there's a writing written on entrance as "Tower bridge". I guess you will found yourself spend a day at Westminister station. Before I end the day, I stop at the Borough market, to fill my stomach. There's plenty of food, and I try their burger which I felt the portion is really big. I share it with my friend.
The next day I went to the Buckingham Palace. It's a place to meet the Queen~! But, sadly, I didn't saw the Queen. I walked at the outside of the Buckingham palace and there's a Garden nearby. The flowers are pretty. From the Buckingham palace, I walk to the Kensington Palace. It's quite far, and I think I took about 20 minutes walk by foot. As I walk, I look around on the street, and there's a lot of children on the street cycling and playing among themselves. I just love the peaceful and tranquility scenery. It's so relaxing. There's a park in the Kensington Palace, The entrance is free, and I could catch a glimpse on the Queen Victoria statue. I spend my day walking on the park, and rest down when I'm tired. In the evening, After that, in the noon, I take a underground train stop at King Cross station to the Platform 3/4 as what you could only found in London.Harry potter shop and accessories can be found sell in the shop too. After that as I went back to High Barnet, and I walk around the area and shops some snacks for dinner.
The next day, I leave London to Madrid,Spain in the evening.
Before that I went to the Piccadilly station, to have a walk at their high fashion street, where there's all expensive brand sell on the mall. It's just another shopping heaven to explore on.
For the London trips, I would say, spending about 3 days 2 nights, or 4 days 3 nights, is sufficient to visit the iconic tourist spot. I spend my night staying at my uncle house, and I would say, I save a lot for accommodations on hotels and foods especially breakfast.
Thus the spending would be:
Flights ticket: RM2400
Transportation : 25 pounds ( about 1 pound: RM 5.60) ~ RM 140
Food: 40 pounds ( it cost about 5-6 pound per food) ~ RM 224
Rooms or hostel: Free. (But mostly 1 night will be about RM 100. You may allocated about RM300 for three night)
To the airport: 27 pound. ( RM 152)
Total expenses: RM2400 + RM140 + RM 224 + (Free) + RM 152
= RM2916 ( Perhaps round it up to ~RM 3K)
RM 3K for London trip, it's acceptable=)

Paris- Romantic City
I traveled to Paris last September when I visit my visit in Italy.
When I was small, Paris have been always a place that I would love to go as most of the romantic scene/story is found in Paris as what I have usually watch in movies, and books.
Through this blog, I'm going to share on the places and the total expenses that I have spend during my Paris trip. I just stay there for 4 days, 3 nights.
From Italy, CIA airport, I took a flight to Paris (Beauvais) using Ryanair ( cheapest domestic air flight) This flight cost me USD 54.70 per way. I reach Paris (Beauvais) about 9am in the morning.
As I reached, I follow the sign board to find the way out. The sign board is easily understand as it's written in English.
I took a train to Gare du Nord sation ( cost eur 3.70 from BVA ) as I book my hostel at Generator Paris. It's located directly at the opposite Gare du nord station when you exit from the station. The room rate is affordable as it cost about eur 35 per bed for female shared bedroom (8 beds per room)
After leaving all my things and backpack in my room. I rest for a while before I start to explore Paris. It's almost noon, when I plan to start exploring Paris. I bought 1 carnet ( 1 carnet consist of 10 tickets) metro ticket for my transportation in Paris. The cost of carnet is eur 14.90. You can also choose to buy one ticket per way that cost eur 1.90 per ticket ( standard price for all distance) I bought 10 tickets as it's more save to buy in carnet.
After having lunch, I start my first stop to Arch de Tromphie. I easily walk to the Gare du nord station form my hostel and took the metro train to Charles de Gaulle Etoile. (1 ticket use) As I reach the station, from the satation exit, I could easily saw the Arch de Tromphie in front of me. It's pretty, as the weather is cold and bright. Many tourist were there taking pictures. The Arch de Tromphie is known as the public monuments with triumphant patriotic messages written on the wall inside and outside of the arch.
Here's the image that I took in front of the Arch de Tromphie. Spend a little time to embrace the scenery~!
After taking some photos, I walk down the street as there's many shop lot and building for shopping spree. Many international brand company, and cafes, restaurants marts can be found along the way.
I spend my time walking around the area exploring the Paris town. After tired, don't forget to visit the well known shop LADUREE as you walk down the street, many tourist were in the shop buying the well known pastries macaroon as sourvenirs~!
There's variety of macaroons with different flavours. Those macaroons are just so tempting~!
As I walk around the area, I found the Longchamp shoplot, and Channel, Hermes, LV and others big international brand. At first I was so nervous to walk in as I have no intention to buy anything as I'm on a tight budget. Surprisingly, there's so many people in the shop~ ~! Everyone is busy with their shopping spree, and I took my courage to go far a 'tour' in the shop. This is actually my first time to walk into the branded shop. and felt like a VIP. The doors of the branded shop is open by a well-uniform handsome looking man, and I felt warm as treated friendly. I try to hold myself from spending as all the bags sold on the transparent cabinets is so attractive~!
Even though I'm not affrodable to buy those luxuries items, but, I'm enjoying myself exploring all the well known branded luxury shop through out the way.
Time passes fast, and I walk back to the metro station at Charles de Gaulle Etoile, back to my hostel, Generator Paris.( 1 ticket is use). I ate my dinner nearby my hostel and sleep soundly that night.
The next day, my plan is to visit the Notre Dame, Sister Chapelle Luxemberg Garden, and Lourve.
As usual, I took the metro station nearby the hostel to Saint Michel - Notre Dame. ( 1 ticket use) As I reach, and exit formt he sation look to the front and turn left, the notre Dame is on the right hand side. It's just a very near ditance walking, less than 5 minutes form the station. Many tourist is flocking to the area.
As I each there early, I could take many pictures around the Notre- Dame. After a while, there's many other tourist bus arrived with many tourists.
Here's a image with less tourist in front of Notre Dame , Paris.
I took a walk inside the Notre- Dame church, as it's free and open to public. In the Notre Dame, I do not took pictures as a respect for the church. In the church, you'll see many related cultures refering to Jesus. The inner interior is magnificent. I spend almost about 2 and a half hour there.
After that I walk to the La Chappelle, as it's only nearby. There's signboard showing for that direction way. I didn't go into the Sister Chappelle chruch, After that, I took a map and walk to the Luxemberg Garden. As I walk and pass by the Paris Pantheon, I just snap a few photos and continue to Luxemberg garden. The distance took about 30 minutes on foot walk. When I reach the Luxemberg garden, I stop and rest , to take my lunch.( I took some breads and biscuits with me in my bag) There I spned about another 2 and a half hour resting and looking the peoples walking pass and around me. The Luxemberg garden is like a park to read books and relaxing in the nature. Well, I have to continue my next stop which is the Lourve. I just walk pass back to the Sister Chappelle, as is on the same side of the Sister Chappelle building. If it's to walk from the Sister Chapel, it's about 5 minutes walking distance. If walking in a slow pace, it will took maximum 10 minutes. I schedule to Lourve in the noon, as I wiuld like to see the night view in Lourve. When I reach Lourve, It's about 4.30 to 5.00pm. I snap a few pictures in front of Lourve, and since it's still a long time to reach night or evening, I go to a side cafe to eat the well know nutella crepes and french baguette with my bestie along. We backt o the Lourve about 7pm, and the scene give me another feeling.I'ts a peaceful and the sky is bright.
The above photo is the Lourve that I took in the noon,
And this picture is the Lourve photo that I took after my dinner in the cafe in the evening. I prefer the evening view as is very pretty.
The night fall very fast after 7.30pm. THe sky easily turn to dark after 8 pm. Thus, I quickly walk back to the metro station not far away, ( the same metro station that I use to when I reach the Notre Dame in the morning). ( 1 ticket use). When I reach back the hostel, I take my time batching and at night, I explore the nearby night stall/mart nearby to buy some biscuits, and drinks. I also explore the hostel cafe and I went to bed that night. I manage to meet a few friends staying the same dorm with me that night.
The next morning, I plan to go to the Eiffel tower. There's not much things that I would like to plan for in Paris. Thus, I start in the noon to Eiffel tower. In the morning, I spend my time exploring the nearby shop at my hostel. There's mart (Lindl supermarket nearby) and bought many sourvenirs, (chips, nutella, chocolates, sweets, bread, cookies) from the stores. After that I stop neary to have waffles in a shop. I even manage to find a chinese restaurant nearby the hostel. Thanks a lot as I miss Chinese food after a few days eating bread and cookies in Paris. After lunch, I take a metro to Eifel tower ( 1 ticket use) and stop at station Bir-Hakeim. As reahed the station, you can easily see the Eiffel tower. I walk to the Tocadero which is just opposite the Eiffel tower, and explore around the building. The eiffel tower is in front of me~! I'm so excited. And yet there are many tourists queue to buy ticket to go to have ride to the top of eiffel tower. I din't join the queue and looking the eiffel tower nearby. I snap a few picture while exploring the nearby eiffel tower.
When I'm tired, I sit at the Tocedero, and have some snack that I bought in the Lindl supermarket in the morning. ( Some other's I put back into my hostel before I come to eiffel tower) Paris people do relly enjoy their life in a slow-paced move, and not rushing. I envy those kind of living lifestyle as I always have to rush to work in the morning and answering calls out from office hour. I wait till evening nd ther's when the Eiffel tower light is on~! This is what I saw in the video share by a person , where the light blinking in the eiffels tower comes in different colours. It's pretty and I enjoy the view with my friend. As, we feel enough for that day,we went back to the hostel ( 1 ticket use) to have our dinner at the chinese restaurant. We just missing having to eat rice, after a few days having flour/grain meals. We back to the hostel to pack our things, as we have to leave tomorrow to the airport CDG.
Tomorrow have comes, and we have to leave Paris back to my working life.
From the Hostel, after check out, I walk to the metro station to the station to take RER. You can stop at any of metro station on the map which connecting to RER. There I bought a ticket which cost me eur 10.90 per ticket to reach CDG airport, terminal 2.
Transportation:
Hostel: 1 night: eur 35. (3 nights * 35= eur 105 per person)
Food: estimate eur 10 per day ( 4 days* eur 10= eur 40)
Thus Paris spending:
Thus is about MYR 1115.79 or can be round up to MYR 1120.
Thus, if you want more budget trip, you can speed up the place to visit in a day, but it might be tiring, so, plan your trip and enjoy the slow-paced lifestylein Paris~! =)
7 metro ticket use- 10 tickets (eur 14.90) + 4 ticket ( eur 1.90*4= eur7.60 )
Total: eur 22.50 for two person ( eur 11.25 per person)

From Gare du nord: eur 10.90
